At the Studio Art School we are passionate about the arts and about education. Qualified art and design professionals ourselves, we work only with others similarly qualified – and equally passionate – to deliver our programmes of study. Here are some facts which distinguish us:

Experience
For over fifteen years, the Studio Art School management team have been helping students from all walks of life achieve their artistic potential. We can offer expert tuition in practical techniques and creative development, as well as advice on all aspects of progression, from application and admission procedures to portfolio preparation and interview techniques. We make it our business to keep in touch with key staff in schools, colleges, and universities and to access the latest information on developments in education and the arts.

Flexibility
Our online courses are carefully structured to develop each individual's creative abilities and technical skills. They are designed to be as flexible as possible, so that students can work in their own time. Every student is assigned a personal tutor, and all tuition is conducted on a one to one basis, with access to help and advice available at all times.

Quality
We work to the highest quality standards. The Studio Art School has been approved as a centre by City & Guilds, ABC Awards and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), and offers courses which are on the NQF (National Qualifications Framework). The NQF is the framework into which all qualifications that have been accredited by the approved regulatory authorities fit.

The Studio Art School has been awarded New Provider status by the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council (ODLQC).

The City & Guilds of London Institute is the UK’s leading awarding body for vocational qualifications. It has over 8,500 centres worldwide offering more than 500 qualifications. 

ABC Awards is one of the UK's leading awarding bodies, offering a wide range of qualifications, the majority of which are on the National Qualifications Framework. It works with some of the UK's major educational providers, and is recognised by the regulatory bodies as an awarding body whose qualifications meet the criteria applied by QCA (Qualifications Curriculum Authority) and are eligible for funding under the LSC (Learning and Skills Council) mechanism.

The Scottish Qualifications Authority is the national body in Scotland responsible for the development, accreditation, assessment and certification of qualifications other than degrees.

The Open and Distance Learning Quality Council is an independent body which was set up at the request of government more than thirty years ago. It sets standards for distance learning and home study courses, and protects the interests of learners through the accreditation of open and distance learning providers.
